DSL Internet
connection - one of the fastest and most convenient ways of
getting online.
A DSL Internet connection is available to most people that
already have a phone line. If DSL Internet is situated within
close proximity and there is no interference with the phones
lines, the connection can be easily established with the help of
ISP company representatives.
To set up DSL Internet, only two main pieces of equipment
are involved. On the customer end, a transceiver is required to
receive and transmit information. This is more commonly known as
the modem, which connects the user’s data to the online
information system.
The DSL Internet service provider must have an access
multiplexer that receives all of its customer’s digital
transmissions. It works by taking data from all customers
connected and transferring the information onto one high
capacity line to the Internet.
DSL Internet is significantly faster than using the
traditional dialup modem. It is also incredibly convenient
because it only makes use of a single phone line to establish
most phone and Internet connections. Even more amazingly,
Internet users can maintain their online connection while they
talk on the phone!
