Telecommunication Products Acquires 20% Interest
of B2 Networks.
Telecommunication Products, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board: TCPD) ("Telpro"), a provider of Pay-per- View and Digital
Satellite Services, announced today that it has acquired a 20
percent interest in B2 Networks, LLC, a premier provider of
international broadband video networks, management, distribution
and billing systems. Pursuant to a purchase agreement, Telpro
has purchased 20% of B2 Networks, LLC in exchange for cash and
shares of Telpro stock. In addition, the contract includes an
option to further increase this investment up to 49% of total
outstanding issued shares in B2 Networks. In partnership with B2
Networks, Telpro previously announced their plans to market and
deliver digital entertainment and broadband services under the
banner name Hotellinktv.com to its rapidly expanding base of
more than 8,000 rooms.
Telpro and B2 Networks will create a strategic
position within the Hospitality and Hotel industry to deliver
services that capitalize on B2 Networks' "state of the art"
digital delivery systems and data centers to Telpro customers.
The alliance will offer and supply wireless point
to point (P2P) local loop Internet connections to hospitality
and hotel properties upon existing internal property broadband
networks. These wireless connections will provide the new
alliance with a new, expanded digital network for the supply of
new services and entertainment to the hotel guests using their
lap top computers in the rooms.
Secondly, this new digital network access to the
hotel rooms will allow the alliance to deploy the B2 Digital TV
Set Top box that will allow guests to order services such as
live sports, events and movies via a handheld remote on the in
room televisions.
B2 Networks and Telpro will capitalize on their
existing content and entertainment distribution contracts to
deliver in room entertainment and services from movies to live
sporting events, shows and distinct genres of entertainment.
B2 Networks provides Telpro with full data center
facilities and a fully customized digital content encryption and
delivery solution that include Transaction Billing, Automated
Collections Processing, Digital Content Management, Full
Transaction Audit Trail and Hardware & Software Systems
Management. B2 Networks also offers Telpro access to their
distribution rights to over 25,000 hours of distinct genres of
movies and entertainment that include broadcasts of live
sporting events and shows, on-demand movies, archived sports and
genre specific films.
