More Americans hooked up to high-speed
Internet connection.
A lot of Americans are getting quicker access to
what's online.
A new report finds that two out of five Internet
users in the U-S now have high-speed access at home.
Phone companies have been cutting their prices on
phone lines called D-S-L -- to better compete with the broadband
services from cable companies.
The report from the Pew Internet and American
Life Project says about one-quarter of all adult Americans have
broadband -- about 48 (m) million people.
Among college-educated adults age 35 and younger,
more than half are hooked up to a high-speed connection.
